WILL L MCCUSKER – PRESIDENT
Will L. McCusker serves as the President and visionary for the firm that carries his name, McCusker & Company of The Caribbean Inc. As the founder of McCusker & Company of The Caribbean Inc, McCusker revolutionized the extended warranty service industry by launching innovative products and leveraging the use of technology to reduce costs and improve customer service. Initially starting the firm focused on the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) industry, McCusker quickly saw the consumer electronics industry exploding and had the vision to position his firm for rapid growth serving the industry. His firm now is an international leader in extended warranty service programs for consumer and business electronics such as point-of-sale machines, smartphones, satellite television systems and even mobile tablet devices.
Prior to starting McCusker & Company a decade ago, McCusker was the co-founder of a Kemper Insurance Administration firm, in Fort Worth, Texas. In that role, he developed a $15.2 million warranty and help desk business with more than 150 call center employees that he later sold to a credit card company in Houston Texas. He also created strategic business and marketing plans and headed national underwriting sales and relationship management.
He also has served as the Director of Warranty Underwriting & Business Development at Kemper Cost Management and as the Director of Extended Warranty Call Center Operations for Warrantech Corporation supporting clients like Staples, CompUSA, CompUSA Direct, Intellisale, PC's Complete and others.
McCusker holds a Juris Doctor law degree with Summa Cum Laude distinction and was a decorated United States Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer. He also sits on the boards of McCusker & Company of The Caribbean, Inc. ServiceUSA, Inc. and McCusker Risk Retension Group, Inc. In his career he has worked with clients such as Fulbright & Jaworski LLP, Lloyd's of London, Sanborn Group, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Greene & MacRae LLP, EchoStar, Mack Camera & Video Service, Nitendo, Samsung and Clyde & Company London U.K.
CAMERON L LAUFER – SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF PUERTO RICO OPERATIONS
Cameron L. Laufer serves as the Senior Vice President of Puerto Rico Operations for McCusker & Company of The Caribbean Inc. In his role, he is in charge of client relations along with acting as a liaison with Puerto Rico-based insurance authorities and government officials. Laufer also coordinates business development for McCusker & Company of The Caribbean in South America and the Caribbean.
Laufer brings to the role a strong background in banking, insurance, client relations and business development. He has served in key liaison roles for banks and insurance companies and has extensive experience presenting to large clients. He also has corporate experience in the insurance industry.
He last worked as a national account manager for McCusker & Company’s U.S. Operation in Colleyville, Texas where he was directly charged as a corporate account specialist working with sales agents and customer prospects.
JOSEYLN VILLARROEL – DIRECTOR ISLAND COORDINATOR TRANSLATOR
Josie Villarroel serves as the Island Coordinator and Translator for McCusker & Company of the Caribbean Inc. Prior to joining McCusker & Company of the Caribbean, she served as a Bilingual Resource Assistant for the Charlotte-Mecklenberg Schools Bright Beginnings program. In that role, Josie was a key liaison translating materials from English to Spanish to facilitate communication. She also utilized community based resources to build strong connections for the Hispanic community in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Josie has also worked as a teacher and Board of Education representative in Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico where she used her bilingual translating ability to connect the community to essential educational resources. Villarroel also has worked as a translator in the financial industry for firms such as UBS AG, Warburg Dillon Reed.
Josie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism and Media from Mercy College in New York and resides in Humacao, Puerto Rico.
ROXANN LEE – DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING OPERATIONS
Roxann Lee services as the Director of Accounting Operations at McCusker & Company of The Caribbean Inc. In her current position she establishes and meets strict financial objectives. She also advises and implements improvements for sound financial management in program development, operations and resources. Since coming on board in 2010, she has successfully led accounting and financial operations for McCusker & Company of the Caribbean Inc.
Prior to joining McCusker & Company, she was an accountant and controller for Empire Today for 10 years. She moved to the accounting field in 1998 to head the accounting department for Timespace Inc, a Kemper Insurance call center company focused on the third party administration and technical support.
Timespace experienced significant growth during Lee’s tenure. The company’s annual underwriting growth stood at $ 6 million when she was named Controller in 1998 and around $16 million when she became Chief Financial Officer in 1999 (measured by market performance). Lee was directly charged with the preparation of all the financial documents and provided all the transaction and financial expertise to stage the sale of Timespace to a private firm. Timespace was purchased in a multimillion-dollar transaction to one of the largest credit card processing companies in the United States.
Lee holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Management from Trinity University. She also holds a second degree from Nebraska Western College. She attended Black Hills State University in Black Hills, South Dakota and Community College Air Force at Chanute Air Force Base in Illinois.
DAVID PHILLIP - GRENADA OFFICE GENERAL MANAGER
David Phillip brings to his new senior leadership role at McCusker & Company of the Caribbean extensive local knowledge and insights into the Caribbean financial industry. He has served as the Exchange Control Officer and Banking Supervisor while working for the Grenada Ministry of Finance in the Office of the Supervisor of Insurance.
He also has worked in leadership roles at Trans Caribbean Insurance; National Guarantee Insurance Company, Ltd. and American Life Insurance Company – ALICO. He founded Advantage Auto Protection Corporation, a firm focused on automotive extended warranty services.
He was the first president of the Grenada Insurance Institute and holds an advanced diploma in Insurance from The Institute of Finance Management. He also has completed a post graduate diploma in Financial Management.
